What is left can be cleaned up easily by using Big Green Egg's wide mouth ash pan and ash rake (available in multiple sizes). The Big Green Egg ash pan has been a nice accessory for the grill. I was originally using my metal shop dust pan but it did not catch all of the ashes. This is due to the round shape of the egg and the positioning of the egg's ceramic legs. This ash pan has a curved edge. It is made of relatively thick steel and should last for many years if maintained.
